  1. Anse Source D’Argent

You can go snorkeling or just soak up the sun, the reef protecting the beach  males its ideal for your kids & safe enough for them, plus the water isn’t as rough as other locations and it is safe for the children to swim.

  1. Beau Vallon

This beach is located on the north of Mahé Island; it is famous for its panoramic view of the North Island. It has become a prime location for diving and water sports.

  1. Intendance Beach

Located on Mahé Island, this beach is a haven for surfers who need large swells. The current is multi-directional, not making it easy to take a swim in these waters.

  1. Anse Lazio

Located on the north western end of Praslin in the Bay Chevalier, this beach is known for its fine grained sand. The beach is quite large and begins from the cluster of Takamama trees and palms, moving right up to the Indian Ocean. The curve of the island protects and secludes the Anse Lazio and gives you a sense of privacy.

Longer than all other beaches on Mahé, yet it is secluded and you are protected from the rough sea here.

  1. Bird Island

Ideal for nature lovers, encircled by a white-on-white beach with smooth grey driftwood sticking up out of the sand and indigo blue waters surround the island, bound by a healthy reef on the eastern side, making for great snorkelling opportunities.

  1. Petite Anse, La Digue.

Pack a picnic lunch and head to the east coast’s Grand Anse. From there follow the path that leads to Petite Anse to the north. It’s a 15-minute ride from Grand Anse, but worth the effort if you want to get the feeling of being casted away. This beach is a perfect secluded spot with its white sands, turquoise waters and no one in sight.

On the west of Mahe, this beach will blow you away with is mesmerizing crystal clear waters and pearly white sand.

On Praslin Island, this one of the top 10 beaches in the world & to get to some of the best places you have to take a different route. Catch a ferry and head off to this private beach, perfect for privacy and ideal for any honeymoon.

  1. Anse Cimitiere

During the monsoon between May and October the waves can get quite rough, so it is great for surfers.  You will also find a couple of natural swimming pools which have been formed by protecting the rocks of the beach, which is ideal for children to play and swim in.
