Hi Cara and True Blue Surf and Island Travel,
Sorry for this late answer but I was extremely busy since my return to Lagos. And I wanted to take time to provide you with a comprehensive feedback.
The charter was really great !
My travel from Lagos to Male on Emirates went smoothly. I was greeted upon my arrival at Male airport by the taxi driver. A 15mn drive and I was at the quay where Alex the skipper came to pick me with the rubber dinghy. We had lunch and we waited for the rest of the surfers who were arriving on an afternoon flight. As the weather was quite stormy, Alex decided it was safer to spent the night at the mooring in Male. We picked the anchor the next morning and moved to North Male atolls which are a couple of hours away.
We spent the 10 days, surfing either Himmafushi Atolls breaks (Sultans, Jailbreaks) or Thulusdhoo Atoll (Cokes, Chickens). We had to come back once to Male to refill with freshwater and gas oil.
Our typical day was :
• 6:30 wake up with first light, breakfast.
• 7:00-7:30, we pick the anchor and move to surf spot (20 mn)
• 3 hrs morning session until 11h00.
• Return to the lagoon for lunch and a nap.
• 14:00, return to the spot for the evening session up to 17:30
• 19:00 dinner with barbecue
Every night was spent at the anchorage in the lagoon. The catamaran was very comfortable. Plenty room, spacious dining area, large deck where you can sun bath. For people who are prone to sea sickness, no worry, The cat is very stable.We had the opportunity to visit the two islands (Himmafushi, Thulusdoo) but there is little to see.

• Crowd in north was not a problem as the line ups are very long and there is no localism
• Water crystal clear like a tropical fish tank (turtles, rays, dolphins etc..)
• The catamaran comfortable, stable and spacious
• Joe proved to be a very professional and friendly skipper who remains always calm.
