Keeping the kids entertained can be a tough enough job alone, but doing it while travelling can be even more challenging. So to keep it short and sweet, we have 6 fun games to play with kids on your journey to paradise.

  1. Interactive Books

Interactive books have flaps to lift, tabs to pull, laces to tie, wheels to turn, stickers that can be moved around these are all ways to keep the kids distracted and to enhance their motor skills. It will stimulate thinking and hold their attention a little longer.

An old time favourite and a game you have all played once in your lifetime.

  1. Card games

Who doesn’t like UNO, you all know it is fun even when you get the +4 card. But if you don’t have UNO, there are tons of alternative card games to play with kids, eg – SNAP, GO FISH, CRAZY EIGHTS and the list could go on.

  1. Electronic Handheld Toys

Electronic toys are the new day & an age so if you’re on a plane be sure to choose quiet ones or have earphones ready. Be sure to have downloaded enough games for the IPAD, Tablet, game boy, Nintendo or what it may be – to keep the kids fully occupied.

  1. Colouring books & Crayons

Colouring and drawing keep kids quietly occupied wherever it may be. So best to keep a stash of crayons, a colouring in book or a notebook in your bag, it not only keeps them entertained but because art involves a variety of the brain’s areas that help children learn emotion, cognition, and memory – It will help them develop and grow.

Not all kids can but 9 out 10 of them like to play “pretend” so it’s smart to have lightweight toy cars and figures on hand. This will keep them busy for hours and help develop their imaginative side.
