Waves were average but good for summer I suppose. Much better than I would get at home. It was more of a holiday than a surf trip so we were stoked.

First few days were small but perfect and fun. Kelly was in her element. The next few days picked up a bit and strong north east, good for kiting.

The last few days were solid. I had Venom Bay to myself. Was a bit scary on my own but I found a long running right bank with a couple heavy left barrels.

Locals were not a problem at all. There were so few and they were cool. Made good friends with Fabrice (little ripper) and the President of the Surf Club (I forget his name).

Such a mellow vibe. Everyone seems to know you there.
