Early this morning Greg Bertish and his brothers went through the Red Cross Childrens Hospital in Rondebosch to hand-deliver all the gifts collected from the Paddle4Presents event which took place on the 27th of November. Each brother dressed up as an animal and sang and danced their way around the wards dropping off gifts to almost every child in the hospital! The smiles and laughter made it all worthwhile. Thank you so much to everyone who donated, you made a child in needs day and gave them a very special Christmas.

Subject: THANK YOU
Dear Greg, Conn and Chris
We would like to express our gratitude for your generous donation of R15 000.00 and 400 Christmas presents. Your commitment to helping our patients and their families is sincerely appreciated. Donations are crucial to the work carried out at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital and your generosity makes a significant improvement in the lives of the children who are so important to us. Needless to say, these Christmas gifts will bring so many smiles of joy to so many little faces. Thank you for thinking of our children and thank you for helping to make their Christmas special.
The Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital is the only dedicated specialist paediatric hospital serving the children of Southern Africa. It is a national asset and handles the worst cases of disease and chronic illness in children under the age of 12. It is often the last centre of hope for our little patients.
The Friends of the Children’s Hospital Association is a non-profit organisation registered with the Department of Social Development and has been a support organisation to the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital since 1978.
Each child deserves to be happy after the traumatic experience of hospitalisation. Our association depends solely on the support of the community. With your help we are able to provide a more comfortable stay in the hospital for the children and their families.
Yours sincerely,
David Stephens
