VISSLA ISA World Junior Surfing Champs kick off
6 April, 2014 – ISA WJC: The VISSLA ISA World Junior Surfing Championship (WJSC) kicked off with the first day of competition on Sunday at the left point break and beach break waves at “La Loberia” (La FAE), in Ecuador. 6 April, 2014 – ASP WCT: Reigning two-time ASP Women’s World Champion Carissa Moore was victorious today, winning the Drug Aware Margaret River Women’s Pro and defending her event title in an electric day of competition. Moore battled against 2013 ASP Women’s Runner-Up Tyler Wright (AUS) in what proved to be a thrilling Final for the second stop on the 2014 Samsung Galaxy ASP Women’s World Championship Tour. Huge upsets as final 12 decided at Margaret River
6 April, 2014 – ASP WCT: After a thrilling showdown in the Women’s Final earlier in the day, Men’s Round 3 saw 12 surfers leave the competition. There were major upsets with a re-surf of Heat 1 and the elimination of top seeds Taj Burrow, Mick Fanning and Julian Wilson, as well as standout performances from Yadin Nicol and Gabriel Medina. Following an unfortunate incident where Taj Burrow became entangled in Bede Durbidge’s leash while paddling with priority for a potentially heat-changing wave .

Official opening ceremony kicks off ISA World Jrs
5 April, 2014 – JUNIORS: The 2014 VISSLA ISA World Junior Surfing Championship Official Opening Ceremony is live now, featuring the Parade of Nations and Sands of the World Ceremony. All 32 National Teams and participating athletes are now together and ready to parade down the streets along Salinas in Ecuador. The Opening Ceremony will officially mark the start of the VISSLA ISA World Junior Surfing Championship.
