Thanks for arranging for the trip to Fort dauphin!!

Hi Debi & True Blue (Sept. 2012)

Like Nicole says fort dauphin was good, very beautiful, a culture shock but not as bad as Nicole.

Not much i can add to what she has already said, but Anne and the staff were very cool, the rooms were rustic as you said but cozy enough. Anne actually gave us a upgrade to a larger bungalow which was pretty awesome of her.  Anne and lava was very good, very peaceful and quiet. Anne was very helpful about local surf and stuff

The highlight of the trip was going to see the lemurs, they were so cute, but pull a banana out and they go rabid!!! 🙂 wish i could have one as a pet 🙂

There was 3 restaurants nearby that we alternated at. All three had very good food. There was Cher George which was down on the beach, a good place for lunch and the cheapest of all three. Talinjoo – the other hotel, was also very good. I especially enjoyed there “Margaret de cannard au alananas” – duck and pineapple. Island Vibe was the 3rd place to eat. Its a beach bar on the other side of the peninsula. This is the place run by Sue and Jenny, but we never got to meet Sue (she was back in sa at the time ) we did meet her wife Jenny. They had the best food especially the caramel pie. Island vibe was also the most expensive.

Hotel was good too although we didn’t have much time there.

Thanks so much for arranging everything for us, when iv saved up money for indonesia ill be giving you a call
