We are booking more and more groups to hop on a charter for a surf experience of a life time. Each one coming back with awesome feedback and already wanting to plan their next trip, so to make it a little easier on our clients we brainstormed some helpful tips to ensure you are ready –
- Be prepared, for unexpected fees around the airports on the way or not having enough wax. Just be prepared.
- Invest in good insurance, it is a necessity.
- A basic personal medication/first aid kit anything to treating a small cut or to fever, flu, earache, headache ect. It is always best to keep something handy that suits your preferences.
- A surfboard repair kit because if you will need one, so will your board.
- Pay attention to the rules & safety procedures on the boat, they are only there for your own good.
- Don’t go too hard in the beginning, pace yourself because it is going to be a long trip.
- If you are going with friends or complete strangers, sharing is part of the essences of these trips. Be friendly in and out of the water & give people their space.
- If it can happen it will happen, so take a second board.
- Be stocked up – make sure you have spare leashes, fins & keys. At least one rash vets and a pair of booties. Lastly PLENTY sunscreen & PLENTY tropical wax.
- If it flat or if you’re taking a break from the waves, learn something now and use the equipment on the boats to your advantage. Who knows you could learn a new hobby.
